I don't even know what to say about Paris. It was perfect. We stayed in a tiny studio apartment and it felt so grown-up and independent to come home to our own little place at night. We felt like locals shopping at the fruit stands and bakeries, except we were the only ones there who had to try one of every single dessert!

After our whirlwind last week it was so relaxing to stay in one place for four whole nights. We spent our first day just strolling around our neighborhood and sitting in the park. The change of pace was just what we needed and it felt so nice not to have to lug a heavy bag through various train and subway stations every single day.

When we finally worked up enough energy to go into the city for some sightseeing, we headed straight for the Eiffel Tower. And it was awesome. We got off the metro and started wandering along with the crowd. We were just hoping we were headed the right way and kind of wondering why we couldn't see it when we turned the corner and all of a sudden there it was. Guys, it is incredible. We just walked around grinning like idiots because we were at The Eiffel Tower. And it gets even better at night. I don't know why more monuments don't sparkle, because you can't go wrong with glitter. The Statue of Liberty needs to get with the program.

The rest of our time in Paris went pretty much like that. We would get to another amazing, bucket-list-status landmark and it would hit us all over again that yes, we really are in Paris! And then we would smile some more.
